I’m Umesh Mahajan, the person behind NatureRoutes, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. I enjoy discovering new destinations, exploring places on two wheels, visiting historic forts, and finding budget-friendly ways to travel. I personally experienced the most beautiful place and captured the moments.

Our Story

The story of NatureRoutes began in 2025, when a friend inspired me to explore new places and discover destinations beyond my usual surroundings. That encouragement sparked a deeper interest in travel, road trips, and outdoor adventures.

As I explored more destinations, I wanted to create a place where I could share my interest in travel and help others discover places worth visiting. That idea became NatureRoutes.

Based in Mumbai, I have explored destinations across different parts of India, including Sikkim, Nashik, Alibag, Lonavala, Aurangabad, and Nagpur, along with places around Mumbai.

Every destination offers something different, whether it is a scenic road, a historic fort, a peaceful natural landscape, or an opportunity to experience a new place and its surroundings.

Through NatureRoutes, I aim to turn that curiosity into useful information for people who enjoy travelling, riding, trekking, and exploring at their own pace.

How I Research and Create Content

NatureRoutes is independently managed by me, Umesh Mahajan. I develop content using a combination of personal travel experiences, destination research, official websites, and travel-related information.

When preparing a guide, I aim to provide more than a basic destination description. Depending on the destination and the information available, this may include how to reach the location, route suggestions, things to know before visiting, seasonal considerations, and practical travel tips.

I also use original photographs where available and supplement them with research when creating guides about destinations and travel topics.
